How can I rank my site in Google search results?

Hi Guy's. I have a question from those who have an idea,

how to rank a web site in Google search results?

I have a new web site, which is one month old only. And I want to get high rank this in Google search results with my chosen

keywords. I have applied some basic SEO technique on it, like I have done search engine submission and as well as directory

submission more then 500 directories. But I don’t know the next step, which I should follow.

So Guy's if you have any idea about it please suggest me, because I want to get good rank at search engine as soon as

possible. Please suggest me the ethical ways to do this.
