Default Keyword research tactics

Is it essential to incorporate long tail keywords while writing an article for viral marketing. As a content writer working in Wisitech, I always give more focus on small keywords phrases. Is it Ok to do so?

Well it depends upon what you want to achieve. If your only aim to make your content viral. i do not think you need to only work on long-tail keywords.

However, from seo point of view, it is comparatively easy to rank for such long-tail keywords in google with well-optimized SEO content for that keyword.

What kind of viral marketing are you talking about (Article Marketing? Is it any good??)?

It's very hard to rank for short (and high-competitive) keywords in limited time. It's always better to start your seo with somewhat less competitive and long-tail keywords.

Default Long tail keywords are important

Its difficult to target short keywords in the first go. So Its better to include long tail generic keywords so that you get some traffic to your site while you are working to get results for short keywords.
